It was only … 21 hours to Toronto …

Phew! Finally here … long haul flights aren’t fun (shoosh Kyle!) Lorraine had the windows (36A) I took the middle .. and a coughing, hacking, snuffling bloody albatross sat on the aisle!! Fair dinkum, this bloke sat with both arms stuck out to the side .. to eat, I scrunched up onto myself and ate carefully (Tash, no spills, clean shirt all the way!!) Lorraine said she liked the extra room the window gave her, but it was still 13 hours cooped up in an aluminium tube. Long wait at US Customs (as usual), down to Terminal 4, onto the Toronto flight … another 4 1/2 hours. Finally arrived, no line up at Customs, straight through, grabbed bags, rang both the Mums then onto the bus to the Hilton. It’s now 8.20pm and we’re about to have a snack, a drink and then into bed, more tomorrow (it’s Mrs Always Right’s turn <g>)

night all!

Ah… the joys of flying economy! Pete and I tend to request aisle seats with the two of us sitting across the aisle from each other. It guarantees that we should be able to lay claim to at least one armrest, albeit the armrest is usually the one in the aisle and you therefore keep getting your elbow (and sometimes your head!) knocked by people passing by or the cart that the attendants are pushing. The benefit: Not having to ask anyone to let you out when you need to use the loo.
