Toilet Humour

That is one thing I’m impressed with Canada.. they know how to spell..humour, not humor. Anyhow , we have finished our first full day in Toronto and I have some realisations/discoveries to share . Firstly, the toilet, it has me totally “connected”….it is quite disconcerting, you go to  the loo and wonder, do you sit or dive in? …the water goes nearly all way to the top of the rim and we won’t talk about floaties shall we? … Too close for comfort!…. that really brings a new dimension to the discussion. Anyhow we had a great day …I awoke this morning to learn that the light switches are reversed..you flick up for on …does that make sense? And did I mention that the water does NOT go counterclockwise (ohh that is so American )….ANTI-Clockwise, down the toilet.  Note …I am back to the toilet! My other really incongruent comment …we went to the “Drug Store” and bought junk snack food . Things are so confusing .. a drug store is like a chemist and yet they sell chips, coke, chocolate etc….oh, and we also bought Omega 3; for fish oil and multi-vitamins. And…I’ve been looking for a Canadian Mountie…..and what did I see?   A Canadian mount the kerb …taxi drivers are the same no matter where you are!!!!  Better stop now …Wayne thinks I’ve had enough….. we’ve only had half of the 1.4 litre bottle of Canadian Club..better go and have the rest!!!!  Bye !!!

You’re not likely to see a Mountie in Toronto — maybe in Ottawa. Although they tend not to wear their fancy red uniforms so you might not realize you’ve seen one at all unless you are at a RCMP Musical Ride or watching a parade. Yes, drugstores in Canada have become a bit of a one-stop-shopping experience where some of them even carry frozen food items. Nothing like a bottle of Tylenol to cure the headache with a side of frozen pizza.
