We were soaking in a beautifully hot spa downstairs in the Hilton when …. more on that later! Today was really fun; we discovered the PATH! No, we haven’t shaved our heads and put on saffron robes, we found a network of underground tunnels, 28 kms long, full of shops and eateries. http://www.toronto.ca/path/ describes and even has a printable map (great when you’re in a hotel room … I can print to my home printer across the internet, but I can’t print here in the room <g>) Back to the story … we walked from the Hilton to Union Sqare – lovely old railway station; it’s a hub for trains, buses and taxis. Along the way, Lorraine just happened to find a jewellry store (she happens to find every one, mind you!) and went in looking for Pandora charms.is what we found, but to get it we had to go back across town to Eaton Square. So we jumped on the bus back around to Eaton Square and bought it; one very happy Lorraine 🙂 Back through the Hudson’s Bay Company (yet another big department store) and back down under onto the PATH. We wound our way back to the Hilton and then relaxed in a hot spa. Now, it’s time for a drink or three, catch you later!

What? The spa accident? Ah … well … we were soaking in the hot water when the bubbles stopped. Lorraine did her usual and ordered me to restart them … easy … riiiight. I gingerly climbed out and over to the timer switch, turned it right around and … nothing! “Hit the big red button” bellowed the Minister for War, Finance and Entertainment” So, like a dutiful husband I did just that.

The big red button is the Emergency Button.

The big red button makes a BIG, LOUD and VERY ALARMING NOISE!

Pulling out the big red button stops said noise … which I did .. and quickly slid back into the spa, ready to point to a fictional child if anyone came in.
