It’s after midnight, sore feet and empty wallet

Biiig day (again). After this morning’s wallet/credit card beating, we resumed our walking exercises. By 2pm we were tired, so back to the hotel for a reviving (read- numbing of feet) Canadian Club or three. We met some friends at 6pm for yet another walk to Astro’s on 56th and 6th. Great food and really cheap. After that, it was yet another walk, this time downtown to 5th and 33rd to visit King Kong’s tower: The Empire State Building. We saw a short movie (complete with one of those bucking carriage ride thingos – simulated helicopter ride, Lorraine just directed me to write … mutter, mutter) then into the lift and up to the 80th floor! Oh, either we wait for the second elevator to the 86th floor (where the viewing whatamacallit is – observation deck, herself just pointed out) for 30 minutes or you can walk up 6 floors (about 18 flights of stairs) …we did the stairs .. sore feet type stuff, eh. Viewed the city at night and made appropriate noises. Came back down, walked home, sorer feet. We did at least 70 blocks today. More in the morning, plus photos, night.

ps: Grant, use google to find out what store 🙂
