Thud……thump…..back to reality. A great few days in Sydney catching up with the family, friends and all the fur, fins and feathers at the great Taronga Park Zoo. After disembarking the great lady “Carnival Spirit” we headed up towards Central station to drop off our luggage before wandering around the city for a few hours. Thence it was onto the suburban train network to head to the old stomping grounds of Parramatta …wandered up to P.J. Gallaghers …… but to us from the old stomping grounds “The General Bourke” to catch up with great mates Wendy, Shonny and Adrienne (whose “new” hair is sensational)…after this , into the Parramatta Thursday afternoon gridlock to make our way to the new look (to me anyway) Parramatta Eels Club. Here we met he family and had a great catchup in the Chinese Restaurant. Back to the hotel …a long day after being up at 4:30am to view the majestic entry into Sydney Harbour….before too long it was Friday and we headed off to The Zoo….another superb day for all blah blah blah ……Dinner with the in-laws…then an early night before the journey home to sunny (NOT) Brisbane….. so over the last few weeks we have traveled with some great friends, relied upon another couple of treasured friends to keep the home fires burning and been on planes, trains, maxi-taxis, ships, tenders, buses but mostly feet. This experience has been another great one for the memory and the photos are just a snippet of our time abroard and aboard. I hope you have enjoyed sharing this with us through our blog, so until next time stay safe and consider doing it yourselves. HIMSELF will have his final say and post some last photos …bye till next time.
