Well THIS , so far has been the favourite!!!! An absolutely beautiful place to see. Put it on your bucket list! We shuttled in to the city from the ship and then once again jumped on the local HOHO Bus for a tour around this fascinating place. The views from the top looking down on the city and coastline can’t be described with just words.
We then headed into the walled city for a stroll around and as we listened to some choristers and music on the steps of the church we watched some menacing black storm clouds gather. Luckily next to the church steps was a pub!!!
Took shelter out of the rain and wet our whistle with a great bottle of wine! No sense whining about the weather when other wine is available! Soon we had to head back to the shuttle to get back on board ….got soaked …who cares! ..and Wayne and Byron took over the singing duties for Dubrovnik entertaining the crowds (trying to shelter from the rain) along the way with their renditions of Singing in the Rain , Always Look On The Bright Side of Life and Raindrops Keep Falling on my Head. Got a few strange looks but it seemed to cheer most people up!
PS. We found the pirate’s lolly shop !
A great place to plan a return visit
