The lullaby of the Sea … and the next morning .. day .. afternoon!

We love the cabin! Deck 7, so we’re nice and high, and a balcony πŸ™‚ Last night we occy-strapped the balcony door open and slept with the sound of the waves interspersed with the regular thudding of the massive diesels. The gentle rocking didn’t hurt at all and we (ok, I ) woke at the usual time, 4.45am. Herself tried hard for another hour to sleep in (snore?? no, no, never! tell ’em you’re dreamin’ !). We started the day with a light breakfast at 7am and then went to our hot stone massage at 8am. 75 minutes later we both oozed out and flopped our way back to the room for recovery (read – snooze – or at least that state just before you drift off!) Went along to the Captains Briefing – all about what ports we go to and what to do when you get there. Boring. I showed my disdain for the lecture method by promptly falling asleep … until a sharp jab in the ribs bought me back to reality πŸ™‚ Upstairs (updecks doesn’t sound quite right ..) to the bar. Canada Royal and Dry to start the day’s sampling of alcohol .. yum! Lunch in the restaurant and then the “Serenity” the over-18’s portion of the boat (the very back .. message there?) for more sampling and conversation with some delightful young things … in the hot tub. Lorraine was there!! Besides, I’m apparently at the age where I’ve invisible to said delightful young things anyway πŸ˜› Married, not dead! I’ll leave with some more photos and undoubtedly comments from Herself when she deigns to get online πŸ˜‰

Lovin the blog. Ship looks awesome. A tad more luxurious than the Pacific Jewel. However, David and I were totally satisfied with our trip, in fact, we would sail with P&O again. The price was sensational. Wish we were sailing with you guys. Sure we will do it one day though.
