Mare, last of the islands we’ll visit this trip. A bit overcast when we landed, but there was still an island band playing gospel music. The only instruments they had was a guitar and two cardboard boxes, plus their own beautiful melodic voices. We hopped on a bus and drove 16 kms to the beach, long, white coral sands and a fair bit of coral reef to snorkel. The locals had set up little stalls all along the beachfront, but after seeing chicken and fish skewers sitting out in the open, uncooked, we decided to pass on their cuisine 🙂 Lorraine and I went for a walk along the beach while Ian, Tash, and the kids played sand castles. A few showers of rain convinced us to head back onto the bus and from there to the boat. We had a small lunch and I laid down for an afternoon nap. Lorraine went with the Watts and played mini golf. Dinner was special, we went to the silver service restaurant and njoyed a fantastic 5 course dinner. Grilled Portobello mushroom, oxheart tomato with crumbled blue vein, and then half a lobster tail and half a fillet mignon (surf and turf) … groan .. absolutely delicious! The servings weren’t that big, but after the chocolate sampler and international cheeses for desert (plus a couple of glasses of champagne) we were rather full 🙂 On to a variety show followed by an adults only version of the hypnotist show, bloody hysterical! I’ll leave it for Herself to go into more detail. We set sail for Sydney, only two days left of what has been an unforgettable experience.

Glad it has been great for you guys. Well, deserved, I might add. The kids making it extra special. Wonderful memories for you both. The ship has looked sensational and the weather, for the most part, has been good to you. I look forward to visiting you both sometime soon and seeing all the photos. Have a great couple of days in Sydney, catching up with family and friends, when you get back. I am glad I grabbed a few moments with you both before I left. Keeps me going until I visit.
