So after a 4 hour stay over in Dubai International Airport where we wandered the shopping precinct and relaxed in the Emirates Business Lounge we boarded our final leg flight to Vienna. We amused ourselves for a bit experimenting with the features of our new Samsung Galaxy 8 phones and as the flight was NOT full “She Who Must Be Obeyed”  moved over to the centre seats and spread out across 4 seats for a stretched out snooze. A 6 hour flight seemed to pass rather quicker than the previous legs. Then ….finally….landed in Vienna ….disembarked quick Immigration , bag retrieval and customs OK ….find our driver …who escorts us to the car ….seemed like we were walking to Vienna central !!!! 20 minute trip into Vienna central and he didn’t know how to get to Pension Nossek (one ways and plazas) ….luckily I had been here 17 years ago and after 5 trips around the blocks I got my bearings and we got out and footed it to our accommodation. Got the night porter to give us the key with label marked “2/3” ….that would be Level 2 Room 3……into the lift to level 2 ….key does NOT open door…..back to disturb night porter again …..apparently Level 2 is on level 1!!!!!!!    so try again …..yep opens the floor level door ……looking looking looking……room 1, room 2 room 4 …..NO room 3!!!!! Back to disturb the night porter!!!!!   This time she escorts us to the room …..it’s Room 2 !!!! There was a bed waiting for me ….28 hours since Brisbane airport departure …it was time to sleep!……SLEEP!!!!! what’s that ?  Jetlag!!!! Wide awake!!!! ….anyhow dozed a bit in preparation for Day 1 Vienna.
