So once again an early start to further explore this amazing city…so off we go wandering the various alley ways and streets and VOILA! A shoe shop that specialises in orthotics….€€€ spent…then more meandering and VOILA! A store with something like a cape on display….€€€spent…..so needless to say we returned to room to deposit purchases in bag before heading off to Stadt Park and then on another HOHO …this time the blue route taking us out to Prater (Viennese Luna Park)…here we said G’Day to some of our famous friends via a visit to Madame Taussads, noticed that Barack Obama uses a Samsung Galaxy 8! Then onto one of the oldest ferris wheels in the world….great view of Vienna. Back on the blue route and a trip over the Danube and passed all the river cruise boats bunted up to the terminal. Back to the city centre for a late lunch before a few showers wet the paths. Time to people watch with a few G&Ts ….observations 1) whatever Europeans wear, they wear it well! 2) Stilettos are a def NO! 3) Smoking is very acceptable, even in cafes (outdoor) 4) Dogs are a def part of life…but mainly itty bitty one’s, some are carried in doggie handbags. 5) Kids are cute wherever you go. Getting late so looking for something for dinner….stumbled upon a supermarket/up market deli ….€€€€ spent and a relaxing “fine dining” in room with a cold bottle of wine. Another great day!
