So here we are last port for second cruise, Ancona …not as big as some of the previous ports but still with the same earthy tones on the buildings and history that goes back further than I can remember! (Must be still on the cruise as I just had a wave and the wobbles just hit me) ..Couldn’t be last nights G&Ts as I only had one!  Anyhow(get back to the blog girl!) So we disembark and the tourist office at the welcome port suggested we go to the cathedral ….well that’s up the top of the hill overlooking the town ….so off we go …Fitbit counting steps and more steps and then an elevator! takes us up a bit , but many more steps to go …keep going….then we finally get there…sadly what looked like a police funeral taking place ( if it had been any more steps it could have been my funeral!!) WE went inside the cathedral and for those who understand the lingo ABC ….but a great view.  Then

N        always easier going down stairs! 

A wander through alleys, cobblestones , old buildings and then we finally find the city centre and its market day ….lots of clothes !!!! NO purchases ….then a visit to a beautiful park and we meet a bulging belly bulldog with his master. Bully took his final step for his walk and bellied out on the ground….that’s it …I am going no further!!!! Owner tried desperately to get him up but no way was that going to happen….a crowd gathering and owner beginning to get a bit embarrassed…Himself starts snapping and laughing aloud! A little more  look around and then back to the ship …cocktail time! Disembark tomorrow for flight to Dubai ….(prepare….next blog post will be interesting .. …  Venice Airport!)
